About me

I started my career in data and analytics and earned a math degree before becoming a psychotherapist. I like things to make sense. In the room, that shows up as a calm, conversational style, direct feedback when it is helpful, and a focus on changes you can feel between sessions.

At my core I’m a human being continually learning to love all that it means to have a human experience in our crazy world. The natural world is my muse, and I enjoy live music, hiking, rock climbing, backpacking, and overlanding the American West. My personal journey through life has helped me to develop a keen interest in human emotion, thoughts, and experiences.  Through an attitude of curiosity, I’ve learned to allow my own experiences, emotions and thoughts to inform my moment-by-moment existence in a way that permits me to truly love my life.

“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”

Many of the clients I work with are smart, left-brain, neurodivergent (ADHD identifying) professionals (and students) in engineering, tech, data, or security roles, including people with active or previous clearances. You value competence and straight talk. You may feel distracted or restless, want to be a better partner, or notice that logic is not enough when emotions run high. You want practical tools, steady progress, and the option to “graduate” when you have what you came for.

We will map what is happening, connect it to how your nervous system works, and practice simple, repeatable steps that fit how you think. I blend psychodynamic insight with evidence-based tools from CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness, always tailored to your goals. The work is clear and collaborative. You bring your expertise in you; I bring questions, patterns, and experiments that make life outside the session work better.
